Now you can call anyone on their PC for free using just your landline or mobile phone service. Thanks to Spokn.com.
How it works?
One has to dial a local access number which is available in over 40 countries and press the spokn-id of the person you are calling. The call is then received by the person on his PC using a software provided by Spokn.com
The local access numbers are available in these countries.
What if I want to call from my PC / Mobile to a phone in India?
The charge is US 2 cents per minute and you can call using Spokn.com software or using software available for Windows Mobile, Nokia and Blackberry. There is also support for SIP Devices but no iPhone app as yet.
As of now better than this is the Pennytel.com.au service which charges AUD 2 cents per minute and offers not only a similar and cheaper (Australian Dollar is cheaper than the US Dollar) service but also a handy iPhone app.
